June 6
June 6th.........60 miles today in a ride notable for two downpours that soaked us to the bone. When it was clear, it was noteworthy for its beautiful scenery and the wildlife we saw......several wild turkey, ospreys, and many colorful songbirds. We eat big pancake breakfasts and hamburger lunches and eat lots of trail mix. Tomorrow will be our toughest day yet with a climb of 3500 feet over 34 miles, but then a long descent to Redmond, OR.

Yay! Doug you are on the way and it sounds great so far! Love the posts and hearing of the rain -- nothing like that kind of riding!

Great to read your posts. I am looking forward to hooking up in Baker City. I have some goodies for you all. Anything in particular you need let me know. I plan to leave Spokane Fri AM.
